Islamic Relief South Africa is seeking a reliable supplier to supply and pack Ramadan food packs for distribution in Lesotho. The food pack quantities and contents may be subject to change. Full details of the required food items are outlined in the pricing schedule annexure.
Suppliers must demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality food items at competitive prices and meet the required delivery timelines.
The successful supplier will be required to:
• Supply 1 095 complete Ramadan food packs
• Provide food items that meet quality, food safety, and Halaal requirements
• Pack food items using the Islamic Relief supplied Ramadan packaging
• Meet inspection, storage, and phased drawdown requirements
• Ensure all food items have expiry dates after 18 August 2026
Interested suppliers must submit the following documents with their quotation:
• Company registration documents
• Valid tax clearance certificate confirming VAT registration, where applicable
• Proof of banking details
• Halaal certification for food items, where applicable
• Completed Declaration of Interest (Annexure A)
• Completed References Template (Annexure B)
• Completed Declaration of Capacity, Timeline and Ethical Compliance (Annexure C)
• Completed Ramadan Food Pack Pricing Schedule (Annexure D)
Failure to submit all mandatory documents may result in disqualification.
• Food packs must be fully packed and ready for inspection by 9 February 2026
• Food packs must be ready for distribution from 10 February 2026
• Drawdowns will take place between 11 and 13 February 2026
Suppliers must have adequate and secure storage capacity to support phased daily drawdowns.
• Quotes must include all items listed in the food pack contents
• Prices must be quoted in South African Rand (ZAR)
• Unit prices must clearly indicate amounts excluding VAT, VAT, and amounts including VAT
• Delivery and packaging costs must be indicated separately, if applicable
• Prices must remain valid for 90 days from tender closing date
No price adjustments will be permitted without written approval from Islamic Relief South Africa.
Bids will be evaluated in accordance with Islamic Relief South Africa’s procurement policies, based on:
• Submission of all required documents and completed annexures
• Demonstrated capacity and experience to supply required quantities
• Compliance with quality, expiry date, food safety, and Halaal requirements
• Competitive and complete pricing
• Adherence to ethical business practices and zero tolerance for fraud and corruption
Non-compliant bids may be disqualified.
Islamic Relief South Africa reserves the right to cancel, withdraw, amend, or vary this tender at any stage and to reject any or all bids received, in whole or in part, without incurring any liability.
