Islamic Relief South Africa invites qualified and experienced service providers to submit tenders for the supply of Qurbani livestock and the provision of related services for the Qurbani 2026 / 1447 programme across South Africa.
These tender forms part of Islamic Relief South Africa’s annual Qurbani programme, implemented during Eid-ul-Adha to provide fresh meat to vulnerable families who may not otherwise have access to meat throughout the year.
Through this initiative, Islamic Relief South Africa seeks to support vulnerable households, including orphan and child-headed households, female-headed households, elderly beneficiaries, persons living with disabilities, and families facing economic hardship.

Scope of Services
Islamic Relief South Africa seeks to appoint suitably qualified service provider(s) to supply livestock and undertake the full Qurbani operational process across the following regions:
The successful service provider(s) will be responsible for the following services:
All services must comply with Islamic Relief Worldwide Qurbani Guidelines and applicable South African regulations, including the Meat Safety Act (Act 40 of 2000) and National Environmental Management: Waste Act (Act 59 of 2008).
Estimated Livestock and Meat Pack Quantities
Islamic Relief South Africa estimates the supply of 35 non-dairy cattle per region, totalling approximately 105 cattle nationally, subject to change depending on funding and operational requirements.
Each animal must have a minimum live weight of 450kg. Each meat pack should be 3.5 kg.

Evaluation Criteria
Bids will be evaluated according to Islamic Relief South Africa procurement policies and will consider:
Compliant bids will be scored out of 100 points based on these criteria.
Islamic Relief South Africa reserves the right to appoint one or more service providers and may allocate services by region or volume depending on operational capacity.
